New Workshop Announced! Join us for our next workshop, "Big Book Extravaganza" which will be offered March 11th and March 12th from 5:30-7:30 PM and March 14th from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. If you are an early childhood teacher in grades PreK-2, you will not want to miss this creative class which will focus on two spectacular make and take Big Books that you can take right to your classroom.
Each attendee will use accents and bulletin board sets to create their own Big Book copies of "Skip Counting" and "Colors, Critters, and Cars". We will also discuss other innovative techniques that will allow you to make a variety of other Big Books personalized for your class and your curriculum. Also receive great extension activities that can be used with the Big Books in your classroom. Each attendee will leave this workshop with a great idea book, two of their own Big Books, and a certificate of attendance.
The cost for this workshop is $25.00. This cost will cover all needed supplies for this workshop plus every attendee will receive a $10.00 voucher to use toward a purchase of $10.00 or more the night of the workshop! We will read Norman Fools the Tooth Fairy by Carol Carrick, Little Rabbit's Loose Tooth by Lucy Bate and Pinkalicious by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann. We will make a toothy alligator puppet. Demo Bar Item of the Week.png) Get ready for standardized testing with Marko the Pencil, the star of the Rock 'n Learn Testing DVD series. Nobody's sharper than Marko the Pencil when it comes to helping students learn to read for meaning and prepare for tests. His tips are super effective and his outrageous antics keep students on task. With Marko's guidance, students ace a practice test by learning how to read passages, find key words, and determine the best answers. Demo Bar Items of the Week We have two "sweet treats" at the demo bar this week in honor of Valentine's Day. Preschoolers ages 2-5 will love Smart Snacks Hide and Peek Chocolates! This delicious game reinforces color and shape skills. Choose a piece of chocolate from the heart shaped box and open it to reveal the color inside.
Kids ages 8 and up will love Chocolate Fix. Use the scrumptious chocolate playing pieces to complete the clever Sudoku puzzles. Challenges ranging from beginning to expert will feed your chocolate cravings for hours.

Check Out Our Seasonal Wall Our Seasonal Wall is full of everything you need for the month of February! Stop by this week for the best selection of Black History Month decoratives, Dental Health items, Valentine's Day products, President's Day decoratives, and Winter items.
What's New We have just received a shipment of "Goodie Games" from Learning Resources! These cute games are a yummy way to introduce preschoolers to basic early childhood concepts including number recognition, colors, and shapes. Each colorful jar is filled with different types of cookie playing pieces which can be used to play a variety of games.
