This workshop will be offered on Saturday, April 18th from 10:00-11:30 AM and Wednesday, April 22nd from 6:00-7:30 PM. Teachers in grades 3-8 can join us for "Creative Class Games to Reach Every Learner". Teachers will learn how to make engaging games to encourage whole class and small group review of material already covered in class to prepare students for upcoming tests. Take time to play some of the best educational board games and card games and learn how these can be easily incorporated into your classroom curriculum. Players study the pictures and facts side of a state card for 10 seconds. Then, flip the card over to see how many of the 10 questions about the state you can answer. Can you name the state capital? How many stars are on the flag? What river flows through this state? Brush up on your state knowledge. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

03/09/2009 Newsletter: Great NEW Teacher Tools Are On Their Way!Ed Expo 2009We just returned from Dallas where the National School Supply and Equipment Association held Ed Expo 2009. It is a huge convention for teacher stores where various companies showcase their new products for the Back-to-School season. We are so excited because there are a ton of terrific products coming your way! Plus, we learned many creative ways to use the products to extend their versatility in the classroom. You'll be seeing everything in our store this summer plus we'll be planning workshops and store events to showcase all of our vendors' great ideas. Here is a small sample of what we saw at the show...

March 11th and 12th: Big Book Extravaganza Workshop 5:30-7:30 PM Only a few spots remain for these two workshops!!!! Join us for our next workshop, "Big Book Extravaganza". If you are an early childhood teacher in grades PreK-2, you will not want to miss this creative class which will focus on two spectacular make and take Big Books that you can take right to your classroom. Each attendee will use accents and bulletin board sets to create their own Big Book copies of "Skip Counting" and "Colors, Critters, and Cars". We will also discuss other innovative techniques that will allow you to make a variety of other Big Books personalized for your class and your curriculum. Also receive great extension activities that can be used with the Big Books in your classroom. Each attendee will leave this workshop with a great idea book, two of their own Big Books, and a certificate of attendance. The cost for this workshop is $25.00.
