Teacher Garage Sale?We've heard through the grapevine that many teachers in our local districts are switching grade levels, subject areas, and/or school buildings for the 2011/2012 school year.
We are considering hosting a Teacher Garage Sale at the store this summer to help our teachers get rid of classroom supplies they no longer need to earn money towards the purchase of brand new teacher tools. We also thought that our other customers could benefit from getting some great teaching supplies at substantial bargains.
Here's how our sale would work:
- Sellers would sign up for the sale for a $10 fee
- Sellers would price their own items in $1 increments and can have as many items as they wish in the sale
- Each seller would be given a unique barcode to track their items
- Sellers would drop off their items a few days before the sale
- The store staff will run the sale-- sellers don't even have to be there!
- Each seller will receive Teachers' Lounge store credit for any items sold at the sale and can pick up any items not sold
We'd like to see if there is enough interest in this sale before we advertise it officially.
