The Teachers' Lounge is OPEN during Memorial Weekend. We are open Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM, Sunday 12 PM - 5 PM, and Monday 10 AM - 5 PM.

In-Store Summer Workshops

We have developed a new series of workshops that we will be debuting this summer! The cost for each workshop is $25.00. This cost will cover the materials for all make-and-take projects. Each attendee will receive a $10.00 voucher to use on the purchase of any in-stock products the day of the workshop. You must register in advance to attend. •All About Me (PreK-2): July 5 - 6:00-7:30 PM & July 7 - 10:30 AM-Noon

Let your students be the stars of your class. Learn how to fill your lesson plans with cute and creative “All About Me” activities that promote self-esteem. We’ll discuss art projects, learning
centers, student displays, games, and more. Get great ideas for the beginning of school, open house, or anytime of year. Each attendee will create a make-n-take project and will receive an idea book and a certificate of attendance.

•Language Arts: A Hands-On Approach (Grades 3-8): July 12 - 6:00 – 7:30 PM & July 14- 10:30 AM-Noon

How do you reach those kinesthetic learners in your language arts classroom? Use lots of hands-on activities! We’ll show you some easy ways to incorporate tactile learning experiences while teaching your students grammar, spelling, writing, and more. Get your students out of their desks as you incorporate movement into your lessons. Help your class remember more material by using great games and other creative tricks in your classroom. •Organizing Your School Year (PreK-8): July 21 - 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Join us as we discuss ways to keep teacher tools, classroom decoratives, and student work neater and easier to find. We’ll also discuss ways to make a general plan for the year and how to stay ahead of the game to keep from doing things at the last minute. Being educated at St. Louis University, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a Master's degree in Special Education, and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction.

The Teachers' Lounge is pleased to announce another great service for our customers-- SPEEDY Warehouse Ordering! Our warehouse is stocked with over 40,000 products including bulletin board sets, office supplies, teacher tools, art supplies, toys, games and more that can be ordered just for you!

Here's how easy it is to place a Warehouse Order:

1) Open up our catalog or check out our on-line store to see all of the products that are available at our warehouse.

2) Visit the store or give us a call to place your order. At this time we aren't doing Warehouse Orders on-line. Payment will be processed at this time.

3) We place our warehouse orders every Monday. In-stock Items are usually delivered to The Teachers' Lounge by Wednesday evening.

4) You'll receive a phone call from us as soon as your items are ready to be picked up.

All warehouse orders ALWAYS receive FREE SHIPPING, and there is NEVER a minimum. Let us help you find exactly what you need for your classroom AND save you some money!

Teacher Garage Sale?

Thanks so much to everyone that responded to our newsletter poll last week. We have tons of customers interested in attending a Teacher Garage Sale, but we had very few sellers. We're going to send out our poll one last time and then make our decision about the sale. We really appreciate your input! If you are interested in selling your items, PLEASE fill out the form (linked below). There is no commitment at this time but we need to gauge interest.

We are considering hosting a Teacher Garage Sale at the store this summer to help our teachers get rid of classroom supplies they no longer need to earn money towards the purchase of brand new teacher tools. We also thought that our other customers could benefit from getting some great teaching supplies at substantial bargains.

Here's how our sale would work:

Sellers would sign up for the sale for a $10 fee
Sellers would price their own items in $1 increments and can have as many items as they wish in the sale
Each seller would be given a unique barcode to track their items
Sellers would drop off their items a few days before the sale
The store staff will run the sale-- sellers don't even have to be there!
Each seller will receive Teachers' Lounge store credit for any items sold at the sale and can pick up any items not sold

We'd like to see if there is enough interest in this sale before we advertise it officially.
