 Our annual pirate event starts Monday, August 1st.....
Don't miss our fourth annual Pirate Event at The Teachers' Lounge, "School's Coming... Grab Your Booty!" The event runs Monday, August 1st through Sunday, August 7th. For every $10 that you spend at the store during this event, you can choose a coin from our Pirate Treasure Chest. Pull a marked coin and win a prize! It's that easy!
We have hundreds of prizes to give away... bulletin board sets, books, teacher tools, toys, games, and more! Don't miss this great back-to-school event where we reward our customers with great giveaways! Come back every day as we put out new prizes daily!

Early Bird Hours Start Next Week
 We will be opening at 9:00 AM August 1st - 19th for all of our back-to-school shoppers! Get a head start on your day as you start decorating and preparing your classrooms.
Please note that these early bird hours will be taking place Mondays-Fridays only. On Saturdays, we will be open from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and on Sundays, we will be open from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
We hope to see you at the store soon for all of your back-to-school shopping!
Teachers Helping Joplin Teachers
 The Teachers' Lounge has adopted two First Grade classrooms that were destroyed by the Joplin tornado earlier this year. And, we are hoping that our customers will be able to lend a helping hand.
We will be asking everyone if they would like to donate $1 to our classrooms, and The Teachers' Lounge will be matching the donations!
Our two teachers are working on their wish lists for the year, so we'll keep you updated on their progress. We hope to send them back to school with everything they need for their students.
Special Orders
The Teachers' Lounge is ALWAYS able to accept special orders from our customers. If you are still in need of items for back-to-school, please submit your orders by Sunday, July 31st so that we can try our best to get your items for you before school starts. All in-stock items from our manufacturers should be able to make it to the store in the next few weeks if they are ordered by Sunday.
We will continue to accept special orders after Sunday, but we cannot guarantee that the items will be shipped to us in time for the First Day of School. If you can't make it to the store by Sunday and are in need of something, you can always call the store at 314-894-7000. We want to be sure that all of our customers have everything they need for the upcoming school year. Plus, if you place a special order through our store, you ALWAYS receive FREE SHIPPING!

All of our workshops are packed with practical ideas for the busy classroom teacher taught through an engaging hands-on approach. Plus, each attendee will create a make-and-take project that can be used in the classroom right away!
We specialize in teacher in-service training and all of our classes can be applied toward needed professional development hours. Just call the store at 314-894-7000 for a complete listing of our workshops. We can also work with you to develop a new class to fit the needs of your teachers and staff.

Reward Cards
Our reward cards have a new look! If you're a member of the Lounge Lizard Club, you may notice a small change in our reward system. Everyone can still earn points exactly the same way as they have in the past.... but now when you earn a reward card, it will print out right at the register! Your card will go into effect the following week and will be good for one month.
We made this change because we are sending out so many reward cards to our customers, that we just can't keep up! We are thrilled to report that we have donated over $100,000 to our local classroom teachers through our Lounge Lizard Club! It's just our little way of saying, "Thanks so much for all that you do for your students!"

Art Days
 Kids can come to The Teachers’ Lounge to create their very own works of art! These open-ended projects are perfect for kids of all ages. Each session costs only $5, and your little Picassos can bring their creations home to proudly display for everyone to see! Registration is required and space is limited. July 22: Make Your Own Sock Puppet (10:30 AM- $5) Children ages 3 and up can transform a sock into a fuzzy friend. This craft features dozens of peel and stick felt shapes, self-adhesive wiggly eyes and fuzzy fun embellishments.

July 29: Wind-Up Workshop Animals (10:30 AM- $5) Children ages 7 and up can create their very own wind-up animal! Use wind-up mechanisms, colorful card stock cut-outs, fuzzy stickers, wiggly eyes, mini markers, and craft accents to make a unique piece of moveable art.
