 The Teachers' Lounge will be hosting an extra special story hour on Wednesday, March 7th to celebrate World Read Aloud Day! Join us from 10:30-11:00 AM as we share some of our favorite stories with you and create a cute craft. Calling All Teachers for World Read Aloud Day!
Teachers-- did you know that you can celebrate World Read Aloud Day in your classrooms as well? Interactive Whiteboard Basics for the Beginner

If you are brand new to the interactive whiteboard, than this is the class for you! In this very basic introductory workshop, we'll discuss various whiteboard tools such as the pen tool, highlighter, shade tool, and more. We'll show you ways to incorporate these tools into your every day classroom teaching. We'll also learn about using PowerPoint software to build presentations for your lesson plans and will give you many tips to make the most out of your interactive whiteboard. (For Grades PreK-8)
(Please note that this class will be taught on an Epson Interactive Projector but the basics of the class will apply to any brand of interactive whiteboard)

REPEAT WORKSHOP--Back by popular demand! Do you need creative ways to spice up your Grade 3-8 reading curriculum? Check out this reading workshop focused on providing your students with great activities for every type of learner! We'll discuss terrific options for reading extensions, reading skill review, and book reports. Each attendee will make sample projects to take back to his or her classroom and will receive a certificate of attendance. (For Grades 3-8)
