Teaching Tip Tuesday

by Laura Gurley on January 9, 2012

In an effort to make Inspired Teacher a practical site to really encourage educators in more than theory-only, we are launching a new weekly feature here called Teaching Tip Tuesday.

On Tuesdays, we will be hosting a link-up party where bloggers and teachers can post links to their favorite teaching tips. We are going for practical advice here– how to organize grades, tips on getting a class’s attention, teaching kids how to wash their hands, classroom management tricks, ideas on teaching certain subjects. We want those nitty-gritty practical ideas that make teaching easier and more effective. We’ll be posting a weekly tip, as well, and we will often be doing giveaways for participants.

And there’s no time like the present to begin that practice! {Drum roll, please . . . }

For this week, we’ll be giving one lucky participant the following personalized charm set  for teachers from the etsy shop, My Blue Snowflake. Check out the beautiful designs the winner will be able to choose from here, on the store’s charm shop personalized for teachers.

These personalized charms come in a host of different color options and can be used as pendants for necklaces or for  keychains. Aren’t they perfect? {Holy cow, I want one!} Stop by My Blue Snowflake’s Page of Charms for Teachers, and begin to think about which charm you would pick if you win the giveaway this week!

There are several ways you can enter the drawing. The first and easiest is to add a link to one of your favorite teaching tips in the linky tool below. If you are a blogger, use a link from one of your past posts, and that will help other teachers find your personal blog. If you don’t have a blog, just link to a specific tip/idea that you’ve used in the past from somewhere in the wide-world-of-webdom. Name the post by describing the tip, so that other teachers can click on the most applicable ideas.

You can also get an extra entry by liking Inspired Teacher on facebook or becoming a new subscriber to our posts via email. {Both are a simple click on the sidebar. No need to comment about it; we’ll be able to see who liked/subscribed. If you do all three, that’s a total of three possible entries.}

Thanks for sharing your teaching ideas with this global community of educators! Good luck!

{Winner will be announced next Tuesday, during our next link-up. Bloggers, be thinking about what you could post for next week on your own blogs for Teaching Tip Tuesday!}
