Take deep breaths using a lazy eight. Sometimes you need a visual to help teach deep breathing. Starting in the middle, a child traces the left part of the 8 with their finger while they breathe in. When they get to the middle of the 8 again, a child breathes out while they trace the right part of the 8 with their finger.
