Schedule Your School Fundraiser Week! Did you know that The Teachers' Lounge offers school fundraisers? We love supporting our local teachers and schools, so we developed a "School Fundraiser Week" that makes it easy for your school to earn money for classroom supplies.
Here's how "School Fundraiser Week" works:
1) Call The Teachers' Lounge at 314-894-7000 to choose the dates for your fundraiser.
2) Flyers to promote your fundraiser will be mailed directly to you. Copy them and hand them out to your teachers, parents, and students.
3) Whenever someone making a purchase at The Teachers' Lounge during your fundraiser week mentions your school, 10% of their total purchase will be added to a gift card for your school.
4) Visit The Teachers' Lounge the following week to pick up the gift card earned by your school. You may use the gift card on any in-store, catalog, or website purchase to buy any needed classroom supplies for your school!
It's that simple! Call today to reserve your "School Fundraiser Week." Space is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
What's New? The Fortune Cookie Game is a great way for students to reinforce the rules of grammar while practicing composition and sentence structure in a social classroom setting. It also allows students the opportunity to utilize current vocabulary words in their creative writing.
A set of playing cards, appropriate for 2 to 10 students in grades 6 to 9, is composed of 54 unique cards, each containing two words from three different basic parts of speech. The object of the game is for the student to create a fortune that is composed of as many words as possible from the words listed on his/her card. The student's score is based on the number of words that the student uses from the card and the cleverness of the fortune he/she creates as judged by student peers. Current vocabulary words are also encouraged in the game by offering bonus points for their use.

This FREE parent workshop will focus on easy ways parents can help their children with their homework. September 25: Creative Ways to Use Accents in Your Classroom" Teacher Workshop

Come to this FREE hands-on workshop to explore all of the different ways that you can use accents in your classroom. We will share our best ideas for bulletin boards, games, projects and more! Leave this workshop with a packet of ideas and a make-and-take project for your classroom. Demo Bar Item of the Week Try our "Roll and..." math games at the demo bar this week. These terrific games will have your students reviewing their math facts in a fun and engaging way. The games in this series include: Roll 'n Add (ages 5-8), Roll 'n Subtract (ages 5-8), Roll 'n Multiply (ages 8 and up), and Roll 'n Divide (ages 8 and up). Students roll the dice, add, subtract, multiply or divide the numbers depending on which game they are playing, and then place their game pieces on the game board. Kids don't mind reviewing their math facts with these clever games. These games are 10% off this week only!

Celebrating Our First AnniversaryAugust 14th marked our first anniversary at The Teachers' Lounge! Thanks to all of our wonderful customers for making our first year so sensational! We really appreciate everything you have done for us.
We have grown by leaps and bounds this year, adding more and more members to our Lounge Lizard Club, adding over 500 new products to our store inventory, and adding more great team members to help us give the best customer service to everyone that visits us. We look forward to continuing to help you find the best educational products to make learning fun and engaging for your students. Thanks again for a great year!
We had a great group of teachers from Firm Foundations visit us on our first anniversary!
What's New Have you seen the new Student Tracker by Learning Resources? You can use the student tracker to remember the location of up to 29 students. Use it to track daily attendance, restroom visits, nurse visits, resource room visits, library visits and more. You will quickly be able to see each child's location at a glance. Plus, you can use this cool tool year after year because it has both a magnetic and a wet-erase surface. It also includes 4 magnetic hallway passes.

Demo Bar Item of the Week Stop by the demo bar and try Blokus this week. This engaging game of spatial problem solving has won numerous awards and keeps players on their toes!
Players take turns placing pieces on the board, each starting from a different corner. Each new piece must touch at least one other piece of the same color, but only at the corners! The goal is to get rid of all your pieces. The game ends when all players are blocked from laying down any more of their pieces.
This is a game that we play again and again at home. It is a great family game and can be played by anyone ages 5 and up. Play it once, and you'll be hooked!
